Hi

I enabled 2FA on my 1password.com account - seems like a cool idea right :chuffed:

I used the 1Password iOS app as the generator - everything went ok

Except .. the iOS app kept asking me to enter my 2FA code - which i couldnt get to

(note I managed to tap 'Not Now' in the iOS 2-3 times in a row and that got rid of the screen)

I've since disabled 2FA on my 1Password.com account

I dont want to install another app just for the 2FA on 1Password.com

    Hi @damien1

You can’t use 1Password as the sole generator of 2FA codes for your 1Password account... :) Otherwise you create a catch 22 situation for yourself.

Although 1Password can be used to store one-time passwords for other services where you use two-factor authentication, it’s important to use a different authenticator app to store the authentication codes for your 1Password account. Storing them in 1Password would be like putting the key to a safe inside of the safe itself.

From our guide Turn on two-factor authentication for your 1Password account.

    I hope that helps!
