1Password <-> Alfred Integration

Updates to my published logins (i.e. changing url from http to https) are not being updated in Alfred App. When I launch a 1p login from Alfred, it hangs on to the originally saved login info. Also, after upgrading to the newest Alfred app, they do not respect my Safari preference of always launching in a new window and instead launch in an existing, and most frustrating, minimized window not on screen. Interestingly, when launching a website by manually typing the address in Alfred, it launches in a new window as expected.

I'm not sure where the problem lies so I've posted in both app's forums for suggestions in troubleshooting on both sides.

    Could you please try toggling the option for 3rd party app integrations in 1Password off then back on?

    Just for our own reference the thread over at the Alfred forum is here:

    Hey Ben! I've turned off 3rd party integration then turned off 1click bookmarks in Alfred; restarted; turned on 3rd party integration; re-enabled 1click bookmarks in Alfred

    Result: the mentioned url changes are being reflected now but still not opening in new window

    @anderson_f - hmmm, you may want to wait for input from the Alfred developers before you go any further on this one. Let us know if you hear back from them. :)

    It seems that there has been some change in the way that the inter-app communication is done. Now, 1Password is the one that actually opens the links...

    Please read the response from Alfred support: https://www.alfredforum.com/topic/11776-1password-integration/

    In the 1Password extension please select the gear icon at the top right and drop down to "Open URLs in [...]" and make sure "New Tab" is selected.

    Thanks! That was it! I changed to "New Window" and now it works like it always has! Thanks for all your help!

  • You're very welcome. :)
