@glharrell - I'm sorry for the trouble! Can you give us a little more information about what steps specifically you took, and what's not working for you the way you expected? Do you have (or did you sign up for) a 1password.com account? Or are you trying to migrate a standalone setup, and if so, how? Thanks in advance for any clarification.

Thank you for your response.
I'm not sure how to answer your questions.
I purchased 1P from the App Store a few years ago. I install all updates as offered. And I manage that through update notifications I receive from the App Store.
As for steps I took, I downloaded v7, and installed it. On successful installation, I noticed that my v6 app had disappeared, which is OK with me. But i was expecting the data from v6 to be transferred to v7. That did not happen. My new v7 was empty, no items.
As for a 1password.com account, I do have a 1password.com account. I know I am enrolled in the Support Forum here, since 2011.
I am not sure what you mean by "standalone setup". Sorry.
cheers

@glharrell - thanks for the additional information. :)

Great! That's a long time. :) But that's not what I meant by a 1Password.com account. What I meant was not whether you have an account here on this discussion forum, but: have you created a 1Password membership that you pay for via a monthly or annual subscription, on 1password.com.
There are currently two ways to use 1Password:
With a 1Password account:
- You sign up for an account at the main 1Password sign-up page.
- Your subscription includes the 1Password apps across all platforms, with all updates and upgrades for as long as your account is active.
- Once you sign in to your account in 1Password on a new device, all of your data is instantly available - no need to set up third-party sync.
As a standalone product:
- You purchase licenses for each platform separately.
- These licenses include all in-version updates, but a major version upgrade (such as 1Password 7) may require a paid upgrade.
- You create local 1Password vaults, and if you like, choose how to sync your data. You can set up sync using a third party service (like Dropbox or iCloud.) If you do not set up sync, your data will remain only on your device.
1Password accounts also include access to your data via a web browser, and per-item backups so you always have a safe copy of your data off of your devices, and can roll back to a previous version of an item if a change is accidentally made.
If you visit Preferences > Vaults in 1Password 7 for Mac, what do you see? How many vaults, and what are their names?
