`op signin <subdomain>` doesn't work

According to the documentation, after signing in to a team once, I can run op signin <subdomain> and it will remember my account key. This doesn't seem to work. op signin <subdomain> always just tells me "Account not found" no matter how many times I've signed in before.

This is rather annoying because it means the script I wrote that I need the CLI tool for needs to save my account key separately instead of letting the tool do it.

CLI version 0.5.2

  • This seems to be a regression on our part. Sorry about that @kballard.

I've been able to reproduce this and have filed it in our tracker as issue 501. We'll get it fixed up and issue a new release out as soon as we can.

  • @kballard : can you try again with the 0.5.3 build we released?

I'll try. Side note: I really wish that op update could either update itself, or at a minimum tell me the URL to download, instead of just saying "Please download our latest version."

Thank you for verifying @kballard that the issue is now resolved!

tell me the URL to download, instead of just saying "Please download our latest version.

That is a good suggestion, it definitely goes on our list of improvements.

    Kind regards,
    Konstantin
