Mac app overwrites custom login icon (sometimes) by automatically re-downloading icon from site

I have a few logins where I cannot get my choice of locally-modified icon 'stick' for the login in question: As soon as it 'Save', the icon gets overwritten by a nasty icon that 1PW seems to be automatically getting from that site (ie, if I removed the site www adress, the overwriting doesn't occur)

example site that does this: www.checkmytrip.com

Create login against this URL
see 1Pass automagically download a badly pixelated favicon
Click favicon and choose a good locking PNG/JPG to overwrite. The good-looking image now replaces the auto favicon
Click save to exit.
See the Login icon revert to the nasty favicon :(

Also observed for
www.lifemiles.com
www.intrepidtravel.com
moncompte.sncf.com
(yes, these are all somehow travel sites, but I wouldn't dare to suggest this is related!)

    Just one thing to clarify my original post: The image I'm trying to use for the login image instead of the favicon, is just an image (PNG or JPG) from my hard drive.

    Oooh Nevermind. You literally just released the fix for the issue in your newest release (what timing i have)
    Verified in Prod > Closing!
