how to upgrade to 1password7?

how to upgrade to 1password7? I've had a membership for the past 5 or 6 years and usually the upgrade is automatic? but this time, I don't see what to do? even if adding my email etc... do I have to go on the website agile bits?

    If you have used 1PW for 5 or 6 years, you have a licence but not a membership. Membership refers only to the subscription model.

    If you want to stay with a licence, 1PW7 is a new purchase. There isn't an upgrade price, but currently both old and new users can benefit from an initial discount.

    I believe the process is to download 1PW and then click on Buy Licence, but I am not sure about this.

    You might want to go for a subscription instead, particularly if you are using 1PW on more than one platform or want to use it for your family. There are quite a few advantages to the subscription, see https://support.1password.com/why-account/
    AgileBits do recommend people to go for a subscription rather than a licence, but licence are also available for those who have philosophical or technical objections to a subscription.
