2FA QR code not working

    I had the same issue today:

    1. Log into my account in Chrome on Windows 10
    2. Go to My Profile
    3. More Actions
    4. Turn on Two Factor Authentication
    5. Enter Master Password
    6. In the Google Authenticator app on Android, scan the QR code
    7. Click Next
    8. Enter the 6 digit code from the Authenticator app
    9. Error "Incorrect Code" (checked & double checked, waited for next code, still failed)

    I did this three times and received the same error each time.

    I then tried the manual code instead of the QR code, and that worked.

    I apologize for the delay in responding here. It sounds as though you’re already set up but if not could you please double check that the date, time, and timezone of all devices involved here are accurate (synced with an appropriate time server)?

    @Ben Thanks for the reply and no problem. I've checked both my laptop and phone and both were on accurate time zones.
    I turned off 2FA and retried using the QR code, and it worked today. Same browser, same process, and it worked. So could not replicate it today.

  • Interesting. Well, thank you for trying. I'm not aware of anything that changed in this regard on our end so as much as I'd rather not I think we probably have to chalk this one up to a fluke.
