iOS 12 and passwords

Just updated to iOS 12 and the latest version of 1Password.

I have many passwords that are used on different subdomains of one domain. This is not a problem on 1Password on Mac, or via the 1Password app, since they show the name associated with each login.

The iOS app seems to pick a random (or the first listed) for the domain, so that does not work when trying to log in.

The app also lacks the names of the passwords, and don't list the multiple logins that are available on the various subdomains.

Seems to me like this actually was working well in iOS 11, but has broken in the iOS 12 version.

Just a note: The old method of filling passwords still works, but the new method seems to be unable to work with multiple logins on one domain.

  • Hi @jarledb

If you're referring to the Password AutoFill feature you're correct: this works differently than the existing extension does. This sounds like it may be the same thing being discussed here: https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/94806/subdomains-and-ios12-autofill

As you can read in that thread there is some debate about which behavior is "right" here, and we're still evaluating feedback.
