1Password can't verify the identity of your web browser
Hello 1password community,
I cannot use 1password version 7 on my mac. I am getting the following error message.
"1Password can't verify the identity of your web browser " ( I am using Chrome).
The help message i got is the following:
"1Password for Mac can only reliably verify the signature of your browser if it is in the Applications folder. If your browser is in a subfolder or somewhere else on your Mac, move it to the Applications folder."
However, I am not administrator on my mac since this mac is provided by my employer. I am pretty sure there are other people like me. The way we install software on our machines is that we install them under an application folder under our home directory.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Nikos

Hi Nikos,
Unfortunately that isn't a supported configuration. The browser would need to be installed in /Applications, rather than ~/Applications, in order to work with 1Password. If you're using a 1Password subscription membership you may be able to work around this by using the 1Password X extension instead, which does not have this requirement.
