password problem

I have a 1password.com account that is from apple. However it keeps asking me to sign up. When I try to sign in on line it is saying my master key (do I enter both letters and numbers with the dash?) it doesn't accept it. I have a feeling that the masterkey that is on my iphone is for my 1password6 account and on my computer I have the 1password7.
