After the recent update to 1Password on my iPad Pro (iOS 12.0) my Barclaycards.com login is bust

I regularly log into my Barclaycards account from 1PW, usually from my iPad Pro. I select the website from the account information and the username and password fields are automatically filled in by 1Password and I click login to gain entry to the site. This stopped working today and now I get a message to say that my ID or password is incorrect. I tried manually copy/paste but finally I clicked the "forgot password" link on the web site and entered a new password. After entering a special code sent to my phone I was able to get in. I made sure that the password was entered accurately into 1Password. I tried logging in using 1Password but the same thing happened - invalid password. AutoFill Passwords is turned on in iPad. Keychain fill is off and 1Password fill is on.

  • Hi @pughimag6829

I was unable to reproduce this issue. Here’s what I did:

    1. Using Password AutoFill I save a new login item into 1Password from this page: https://cards.barclaycardus.com
    2. I then filled that login item into the aforementined page

It filled correctly. Now, I don’t have a Barclays account, so I can’t test beyond that, but it does appear everything with 1Password is working as expected. That said, it does appear that they have a maximum length of 30 characters for passwords. Is the password you’re trying to fill longer than 30 characters? If so that may explain the difficulty.

    Please let me know.

    Ben

Hi Ben, So sorry for the delay and thank you for your validation. The password length was OK. I can't explain what happened. I got the same failure a number of times. Today, I logged in again and of course, it worked. I got the failure on my iPad but when I logged in with my iMac from 1Password it worked just fine. Just to be sure, I tried my iPad a few moments ago. It worked just fine - go figure! Sorry for using up some of your time. I appreciate the follow up very much. I love the application and I'm selling its virtues to my golfing partners.

  • Thanks for the update, and for taking the time to share 1Password with your golfing partners. :+1:
