Entering correct master password displays incorrect password error until quit and restart of app

Occasionally when I open 1Password (either app, menu bar, or via Safari extension), I experience a situation where no matter how many times I enter my master password correctly, 1Password says I entered it incorrectly (the 1Password window wiggles and and the red lock icon appears).

Quitting and restarting the 1Password app and menu bar item resolves the problem. Sometimes I have to Force Quit 1Password from Activity Monitor to get it to quit completely.

When this happens, does it happen immediately after locking the app, or any amount of time after locking?
