I currently have 1 Password Version 5.4.3 on my iMac, and am being advised to update to Version 6.8.9 Will the data from the old version be transferred to the new version once I update? Also, how do I now get this to sync with 1 Password on my MacBook and other Apple devices, e.g. iPhones and iPads?

Welcome to the forum, @TracyMadelinBrown! Versions 4 through 6 of 1Password for Mac use the same data-store, so you can install the final version of 1Password 6 for Mac (6.8.9) directly, and it will pick up right where you left off. First, in 1Password 5 for Mac, visit Preferences > Backup and click "Backup Now." Then, be sure to quit 1Password 5 for Mac completely (make sure you don't see the 1Password mini icon in your Mac's menubar), and drag the 1Password 5 application to the trash. Next, visit our downloads page and grab a copy of 6.8.9 from the "using an older computer?" link near the bottom of the page, and run the installer. You should be all set.

May I ask what version of macOS and of Safari you're currently using?
