1Password mini and 1Password window always both come to the front when using Safari extension
- Open 1Password.app's main window.
- Hide the window (⌘H)
- Click the 1Password toolbar button in Safari
- Both the 1Password mini window and the hidden 1Password window come to the front and cover the browser window.
This doesn't happen if you always diligently close the main 1Password window in step 2, but I don't remember this happening with older versions, like 1Password 6.

Greetings @csuhta,
The issue of the reappearing main window is a regression that started in 1Password 7 and was't present in 1Password 6. It only affects hiding the window with the ⌘H keyboard shortcut, minimising ⌘M or closing the window with ⌘W don't display the same bad behaviour. Assuming all goes well though I'm hoping the next update to 1Password for Mac finally corrects this as I see the developers have been working on it. I'm not able to make any promises on anything that is in a beta but I would be surprised if the fix isn't present in whatever the next release is.

I’d love to know when this is fixed. I’ve switched back to v6 in the meantime. This is the most annoying thing.

Hi @dreh0615,
It should be the next stable release assuming no hitches. It will appear in the 1Password for Mac changelog with reference
{apple-issues#1157}
which it currently does in the beta 7.2.2.BETA-1. I wish I could promise I would remember to post here when the next stable is released but I know what my memory is like and I probably will forget - memory isn't one of my strong points.0 -
While I appreciate your answer, may I suggest two things: 1. That's what to-do lists are for. They help remember to do things one might otherwise forget. 2. That's the difference between great service for your customers and just average service. It's up to you to choose.

@dreh0615: I'm not sure I follow. I don't believe this discussion is about todo lists, but about 1Password, which is a password manager. Anyway, hopefully we'll have an update available for everyone shortly, once testing is complete. You'll receive a notice of that automatically provided you have updates enabled — no other software required. Ain't technology great? :)

@brenty Maybe it would be helpful for you to re-read the thread. @littlebobbytables said, "I wish I could promise I would remember to post here when the next stable is released but I know what my memory is like and I probably will forget..." thus a suggestion for to-do list. And I said, "I’ve switched back to v6..." So, perhaps I'll get an update reminder but it might not tell me the problem has been fixed. Technology ain't so great when we're at v7.2 and this bug has been around since v7.0. HAGD.

@dreh0615: Likewise. The update notice will include the release notes, so you'll definitely see it there, as lil bobby already mentioned. That was my point. We'll have to agree to disagree that "Technology ain't so great" because like the humans who make it, it is imperfect. Not a worldview I'm going to adopt when I can secure all of my most important information and carry it around with me in my bag, in my pocket, and even on my wrist. There's always room for improvement of course, but I view that as an opportunity. To each their own, I guess. Take care. :)
