I purchased an iPhone X’s and my app comes up and-disappears. I really need to get this working.

It doesn’t help to turn the phone off.

  • Hi @thbic

Where is your 1Password data currently? Do you have access from any other devices?

Any solution for getting my iPassword back. I need it badly. Banking issues. Version: 12.0.1 (16A405); Sync: Cloud, OS Version: Unknown.

my new phone uses face recognition not touch so I can't get into this.

Do you have access to your data on the old iPhone? Unless you’re using a 1Password subscription membership we do not store your encrypted data — it is by default stored only on the device that you’ve entered it on. You’d need to set up syncing between the old phone and the new in order to get the data on the new phone:

    Sync your 1Password data

    I hope that helps!

The old phone was traded. So I'm out of luck on an ap I paid for?

  • So you don’t have your data anywhere? Without having a copy of your data I’m not sure how we can assist further as far as recovering access to your data goes. We can certainly help you get access to the app. Please let me know how you’d like to proceed.

I backed up my phone on my Mac before I changed everything to the cloud. Can I still go back and back up on the computer without messing up the cloud back up? I really appreciate your help with this.

If you made a backup to iTunes that could possibly contain your 1Password data it would certainly seem to be worth it to try restoring that backup to your device. Unfortunately in my experience iTunes does not always back up 1Password data, even when backing up the “entire device,” but it would be worth a shot. I’ve also seen reports where restoring a backup the first time does not restore the data, but restoring the same backup a second time does. Please let me know how you make out.

Didn't work. when I purchased the app I didn't see any mention of your support info that would help with situation just like this. I had the pro version. But since I can't remember my password I have to start over?

  • Didn't work.

I'm really sorry to hear that.

But since I can't remember my password I have to start over?

That's correct unfortunately. Without both a copy of your data and your Master Password starting fresh would be the only way forward. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

To avoid such difficulties in the future I'd highly recommend either:

    OR

    1. Backing up your 1Password data on a regular basis: https://support.1password.com/backups/ and
    2. Syncing your data with a 3rd party cloud provider: https://support.1password.com/sync-options/
