The iphone update has changed the format and my thumbprint no longer has access to Secure Notes.
I recently updated my iphone 7 and the layout and access of 1password changed. The thumbprint access no longer functions. I cannot get access to Secure Notes which is where all my information was held. I use icloud as backup
I also cannot recall my master password as a backup to this.

Unfortunately, your master password is required in certain circumstances, and this is one of them. You would get TouchID back only after entering your master password.
If you really can't recall your master password there is no way to recover, that is one of the security advantages (but perhaps user disadvantages) of 1PW. If you sort of remember it but not exactly, then AgileBits do provide a guide to recalling the exact password. The only good news is that you can keep trying as many times as you like.
Do you have any other device that has 1PW on it in an accessible form?

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble. The only way to decrypt your data is with your Master Password. As danco mentioned if you can’t remember it it wouldn’t hurt to try guessing it and you have unlimited guesses. If ultimiately you’re unable to get it the only recourse would be to start over:
