DID NEW UPDATE AND CAN'T SIGNIN
HAVE HAD 1PASSWORD SEVERAL YRS APPLE TECH INSTALLED. DON'T KNOW IF I PAID. IT WAS DONE IN THE APPLE STORE AND ALL I USED TO SIGN IN WAS FINGERPRINT. NEW UPDATE ON IPHONE 7PLUS HAS ME LOCKED OUT. HELP, HELP I AM76 YRS. OLD AND THANK GOD I CAN STILL REMEMBER MY BANK'S CODE, EVERYTHING ELSE IS LOST TO ME. APPLE STORE CLOSE TO ME CLOSED. I NOW MUST DRIVE 100 MILES TO GET HELP FROM THEM

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble. It is unlikely that Apple is going to be able to assist with this issue. They may have helped you set up 1Password, but I would highly doubt they would have record of it. When 1Password is set up a Master Password is created. This password is required whenever Touch ID (fingerprint authentication) doesn't work, for whatever reason. You'll need to enter that Master Password in order to unlock 1Password. There is no other way to access your data.

Ben, I know all caps is not good, however, my life is in 1password and has been for 6-7 yrs. I have contacted tech and he says he only set it up to be accessed with my fingerprint. Since 1password does not recognize my account the only thing I can do is delete it and try to get all new passwords, but I will be sue that anyone I talk to knows how shabby They have treated me. Thank you for trying to help.

@bereber22: It isn't possible to setup 1Password to only ever use a fingerprint. The Master Password is used to encrypt the data, is therefore needed to decrypt it, and you wouldn't have been able to use 1Password at all without setting a Master Password. I'm sorry if you've lost Master Password, but for your privacy and security, your Master Password is ever known only by you. No information about your Master Password is ever sent to us. We cannot reset it for you and you cannot change it without entering the old one. There is also no "back door" to access your data without the Master Password. Nor do we have any information about your Master Password we could use to help you find it. If there were, that would be a security hole that could be exploited to gain access to your secure information, even if we were the only ones who could exploit it. This way, no one, not even someone at AgileBits, can read your secure data. However, please try the tips in this guide as they may help you gain access again:

Alternatively, if you're part of a 1Password Family or Team, another Owner, Organizer, or Admin can help you recover your account, so you can create a new Secret Key and Master Password:

But you would not have an account at all if you hadn't signed up for a 1Password.com membership subscription.
If that none of that helps, you will need to either restore from a backup, sync from another device, or simply start over. You can try as many times as you want. You won’t be “locked out”, but you will not be able to access your data unless you can enter the required Master Password correctly. Please let me know how it turns out.
