If I am following you correctly @tom_777 select the item and press the delete key.

    • This would remove the entire entry, not just the password. Be very careful not to accidentally delete something you would like to keep.
As a safety feature 1Password will move the item to the trash (inside 1Password and not the Macs trash) It will remain there till you manually remove the trash from inside 1Password.

Were you trying to remove a generated password (for example) and maybe wishing to create a new generated password while keeping the entry ?

@tom_777 - drag it to the trash in the lower left corner of the main window, or right-click (control-click) it, and choose "Move to Trash" from the pop-up menu.

@tom_777 - we're glad to have you here on the forum, and happy to help, but please don't post the same question multiple times. When we have stop and coordinate responses or merge threads (as I've done, above), it causes confusion and slows down support times for everyone, including you. Thanks. :)
