New 1Password Account Setup on the iPhone XS Max

My wife has a ton of passwords and the age old problem of recall and wasted time. She's getting the new iPhone today. I want to set up all of her passwords in a new 1Password account but do it on my Windows PC. Can I do that? I could not find an answer around that. Thanks for any guidance.

  1. If she's going to use it on the Apple phone do I have to be using that phone to enter her passwords into a new account for her?
  2. If she gives me all her credentials will 1Password, once I log in as her, treat me as I am treated when I manage my own account and passwords in terms of what I am allowed to do and how I do it?
  3. Can she then view and use it both on her iPhone, her Microsoft Surface and on her Windows computer?
  4. Once I finish my setting up passwords in her account, if I log onto the online account using her secret code, will it sync all the passwords now added?
  5. It seems that one should stay away from buying a subscription using the Apple device given the limited subscription management that Apple concedes. So should I just purchase it on my Windows PC and create everything?
  6. For passwords she has forgotten, is the only solution to resetting it a request about forgotten password?
  7. Does 1Password work better with a specific email platforms such as Google, Outlook or other?

If I don't do this it will never get done. I have over 200 passwords handled and no longer speak out loud "Darn I can't remember that password."

  • Hi @bobson58

I'm glad to hear that 1Password has been able to help you and that you'd like to help your wife get going with it. Are you using a 1Password Families membership?
