Safari extension (7.2.1) no longer working post-Mojave

Hi all! Finally upgraded my MBP to Mojave and I'm now having some trouble getting 1Password working within Safari 12. Following advice from other threads here, I've:

  • updated to the latest version of 1Password (7.2.1)
  • made sure the 7.2.1 extension is installed and active under Safari extension preferences
  • removed any older versions of the 1Password extension from Safari
  • quit and relaunched both Safari and 1Password several times each

End result: when I click the 1Password icon in the address bar, the 1Password main app window (sitting behind the browser) flashes to the front for a split second, then disappears. This behavior repeats each time I click the icon.

Any next steps for troubleshooting and potential resolution? Thanks so much! :)

1Password Version: 7.2.1
Extension Version: 7.2.1
OS Version: 10.14
Sync Type: 1Password account

Welcome to the forum, @mistertumbles! Please restart your Mac, and try again. If that has no effect on things, you may have 1Password or Safari installed in a location other than your main /Applications folder. If so, you'll need to move both (and any additional browsers you use) into the main /Applications folder. Let us know how you get on.

Moving into the main /Application folder seemed to do the trick. Thanks, @Lars!
