@ronen - you don't. If you've already got an item selected, you can generate a new password for it right within the item itself, by clicking Edit and then adding a new field with the type "password" (use the drop-down selector to change the field type first, then generate your password for it).

@ronen - if you're in a Login or other item already in the mini, and you want to add a password item to it, you can click the Edit button at the top left of the item you're viewing. Once you've done that, there will be additional sections you can create further down in the record. Towards the right of such a section, click the button that will be the image of a T, and called Text, and you'll see a drop-down menu.

Set it to "Password," and you'll be able to use the generator to create a password. Note: this will only be generated within 1Password, it will not actually be transmitted to the site itself. If you want to change passwords at a particular site where you have an account, please follow these instructions

    Complicated !
In the previous 1P version , a simple Pass word generator open a new window and simply make a new password to update .
Like the second picture above ...
    Prefer the old procedure .
    Thanks

@ronen - you can still use the Password Generator from the main panel of the mini -- you just can't be inside an item detail while you do it. If you are, then you have the method above that I mentioned. Either way works, though. :)
