  • Yep. :) You have to change the "http://" to "https://" to get the secure version. This is applicable to all websites. Always use https.

You need to edit the website field in your screenshot from http://discussions.agilebits.com to https://discussions.agilebits.com otherwise you're accessing the site without SSL (https). Without SSL your connection to the website is unencrypted -- someone between you and the website could potentially read the traffic. For this particular case it isn't that big of a deal, because we automatically redirect you to https. We don't allow access to our websites over http. But you should still update the login item in 1Password for the forum to reflect that.

Clicking "make https" will do that for you automagically.

    Ok. Now I understand
So why http ( without “s”) website exists ?
    Thanks again

  • I'd love to get into detail on that, but that's really outside the scope of 1Password. In short, it is for legacy reasons. SSL hasn't always been so ubiquitous. Some websites still use non-SSL for most actions on their page, but then redirect to SSL when asking for credentials or credit card information. Most are going to or at least support SSL for the entire session.
