Allow 1Password Mini to "Control Your Computer"?

I've recently installed the Mojave update and am now being asked if I'd like to let 1Password Mini to control my computer.

What does this mean and why should I permit it? (I don't recall ever being asked this permission in previous years, but I might be mistaken.)

Extension Version: 4.7.3
OS Version: OS 10.14 Mojave
Sync Type: iCloud

    @09aps - you're being asked this because Apple is tightening up security measures in macOS 10.14 (“Mojave”). You should permit it if you'd like to be able to allow 1Password 6 for Mac to continue working in Safari 12.
