Not automatically syncing

I contacted support a month ago with no response. I have a recurring issue of the Mac client at work not automatically syncing. Every time, if I edit an item and save, it will force a sync. I've asked about showing sync status but have been told every time that it's not needed since sync just works. This is obviously not the case. We've behind one or two firewalls here, but the fact that forcing a sync by editing an item works every time tells me that it's an issue with the 1Password app itself. What can I do about this? I've been experiencing this since at least v6.

I sync via a family account.

  • Sorry for the delay in email replies, @hazmat . I've grabbed your ticket now and have responded. 1Password.com sync works via a "notifier" service that tells your computer when it needs to sync due to a change from another device. My guess is that the notifier cannot connect through your firewalls.

    I will talk this over with our team and see if there's something we can do to make this better for you.
