It doesn't offer to save a new login item on most web sites

After I save it manually, it doesn't have any field related to the remember me checkbox.

@koraykupe: Thanks for the video! I'm not sure what I'm looking at though. I saw you fill your credentials on the site, check the box, and save the login...but I was waiting for you to reload the page and try filling that same login. What happens then? :)

@brenty, Hmm it fills the checkbox indeed. I didn't see it because I didn't click 'view saved form details' button. It was the trick. Thanks!
