1password 6 running slow on Mac but not on ios devices
both mini and main app on my mac run extremely slowly. also any editing i tried not only took forever but wasn't saved. other applications run normally. I have an early 2009 imac with el capitan os

Welcome to the forum, @Kay41Mac! I'm sorry for the trouble. Early 2009 is (hard to believe, I know!) almost ten years ago now, which is an eternity in computer time -- even for Macs. I believe you when you say other applications are functioning normally, but on a Mac (and a version of macOS) that old, I suspect this may be just how things are, at this point -- at least partially.
However, the bit about edits not being saved is certainly not normal behavior. Can you elaborate on that a bit? Did you have 1Password's main window open, and clicked "Edit" on an item? What happened/didn't happen the way you expected? What steps have you taken to try to solve the issue? Did you restart your Mac, or at least restart 1Password? Thanks in advance for the clarification.
