1Password Updater takes up space in my Dock

Even after I've removed it from the Dock it reappears there permanently the next time it runs.

    @randian - I'm sorry for the trouble! The reason this is happening has to do with a new feature in macOS 10.14 (“Mojave”), the "Recent Applications" portion of the Dock (you can see the separator line that delinates it from other apps). The only way to "remove" the 1Password updater from there is to simply open and use, then close, other apps. The Recent Applications section is the same as it's always been in the Apple menu, only now it's visually represented in the Dock. You can turn the entire feature off if you don't like it in System Preferences > Dock (just un-check the box marked "Show recent applications in the dock." Hope that helps. :)
