1password X - how to use Touch ID on Macbook Pro?
Just got a new work computer and am using 1password X in Chrome, but I don't see where / how to enable the Touch ID to unlock 1password instead of having to enter my password everytime (was available on 1password 7, is that not available on 1password X)?
1Password Version: 1password X
Extension Version: 1.12.2
OS Version: MacOS 10.14.1

Sorry for the confusion. Touch ID is a macOS feature, and as such works with the Mac app -- 1Password or Mac -- and its desktop extension:

https://support.1password.com/1password-extension/1Password X is a self-contained extension that runs entirely within the browser's sandbox, so it does not have access to any OS-level features like that. I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Please tell me the intention is to leverage TouchID is some way from the browser in 1Password X. The entire reason I switched from LastPass was the fact that 1Password 7 leverages this to unlock the vault.

Certainly if we can find a way to do that we'd very much like to. But regardless, 1Password for Mac and its desktop extension offer that functionality today:

Cheers! :)

I'm loving the 1Password X, it's just missing TouchID - any consideration to updating 1Password for Mac to have 1Password X capabilities?

Hi @kenarabe01! Right now we're putting most of our extension-related energy into making 1Password X the best it can be. I do appreciate the feedback that you'd like to see 1Password X features + Touch ID support in the future!
