Welcome to the forum, @kantrow! Good for you for being cautious about your online security. You should always check to make sure emails are on the level before clicking ANYTHING in them. Can I ask: what does the email want you to verify? Are you willing to take a screenshot of it, and post that here? If you've recently signed up for or been invited to a 1password.com account, then you'll get at least one email as part of that process.

Here is the email. It came to an email address that I normally don't use.

@kantrow - did you recently sign up for a 1password.com membership, using that email address? You might have done this at the main 1Password sign-up page, or you might have done it as part of upgrading to 1Password 7 for Mac from an earlier version. Did you do so?
