Safari Extension Versions
I just noticed that on my laptop, the 1Password Extension is listed as version 4.7.3 by AgileBits but on my newly setup Mac Mini it's listed as version 7.2.1 by 1Password 7.
Can anybody explain what the difference is?

Apple have been changing the way extensions work. There used to be a .safariextz extension downloadable from AgileBits. However, this option has now been removed by Apple. It is still possible to get the same extension through the Safari Extensions Gallery.
But even this is being removed soon, and all extensions will be part of the app itself. On the new Mac Mini you will be using 1PW 7.2.1, and so the 7.2.1 extension. On the laptop you are probably using a slightly older version of 1PW, and so still have the older extension.
Don't worry as long as things are working ok. And if they stop working just check your Extensions in Safari preferences to see what is installed and enabled.

Thanks for the info. Everything does seem to be working normally. However, since around the time I started using 1PW, there is a forum I visit often and on my iMac Pro in Safari, it keeps me logged in all the time. I wasn't sure if the extension versions were a clue.
On my MacBook Pro and now Mac Mini as well, the forum doesn't keep my logged in even though "remember me" gets checked and everything else seems the same. On these two devices I have to log in each time I visit the forum which is a minor annoyance.

@Jperkinski - that's not something we can address; I think something must have changed in either your Safari settings or on the site itself; all 1Password can do is sign you into that site; it can't keep you signed in.
With regard to the extension version, Apple made substantial changes to how extensions work in Safari 12. The older style of extension that we're all used to - 4.7.3.90 - is no longer in use for version 12 of Safari. Right now, you still can install the older version, but only directly from the Safari Extensions Gallery. However, Apple plans to shutter the Safari Extensions Gallery sometime around the end of the year, so if you're using Safari 12 (which many people are now), it's better to switch to version 7.2 or later of 1Password for Mac -- that's the version where we stopped shipping the older extension and began shipping the new Safari App Extension. If your laptop is using a version of 1Password for Mac older than 7.2, that will be the reason.
