    Hello @prasanthi,

Gmail password hacking is a broad subject, but I'll try to cover the broad strokes.

If your Gmail password has been compromised there are steps that Google has laid out to recover your account here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6294825?hl=en

They also have this handy Security Checkup page where they will report usage and verify sign-in/recovery methods: https://myaccount.google.com/security-checkup

The severity of this compromise is in how many other services an attacker can access through your email. Most other services will allow an attacker to reset your password for that service through email.

The best way to secure yourself against this kind of attack is to set up multi-factor authentication on your Gmail account. This will prevent an attacker from logging into your account, even if they have obtained your password. Google will also inform you of unsuccessful attempts to log into your account.

And, of course, I would recommend using 1Password to generate and store a secure password for your Gmail account. You can also store your multi-factor authentication information with us in case you need it again.

I hope that information was helpful. Please let us know if you have any questions.
