Any news on 1password preventing OS updates?

I found this old thread indicating a fix was planned back in July. I'm still having the same issue

1Password 7
Version 7.1.2 (70102000)
AgileBits Store

The workaround is to close 1password manually but this hampers the OS's auto-update functionality.

    This issue has been fixed in 7.2.

    I see.. apparently the update check in my version doesn't work. It says I'm on the latest version but clearly I'm not. I'll update right away. Thanks for the quick response.

    @mcantrell,

    1Password 7.2+ is currently only available via the download page and via in-app update for users already on a version of 7.2 or running Mojave.

    This is because 7.2's Safari support requires Safari 12, which many haven't yet updated to on 10.12 and 10.13.
