Ans if yes, where can I download (an earlier) version of 1Password?

    @Rotterdammert - the overall answer to your question is yes -- you can use up through version 6 of 1Password for Mac on OS X 10.11 (“El Capitan"). You'll need to have at least version 6.6 installed if you use a 1password.com account -- and I'd recommend the final version of 1Password 6 for Mac -- 6.8.9. You can get that at our downloads page if you don't have a copy, just make sure to scroll down a bit to the "using an older computer?" section. Hope that helps!
