The safari extension in not working anymore.

I heard you should delete the 1password app and reinstall.
I cannot delete the 1password app though since it says something like "you cannot move to trash since it is being used".
But I am not using it. I closed everything I could find.

_1Password Version:Version 7.2.2 (70202006)

_OS Version: macOS 10.14 (18A391)

Welcome to the forum, @www0013! I'm sorry for the trouble. Did you recently upgrade to 1Password 7 for Mac, or upgrade macOS? Please let us know. Also, do you have either a license for version 7 or a 1password.com membership/account? Thanks.

I upgraded macOS to the latest which I regret for several reasons but most importantly that 1password stopped working in Safari for me.

so I have to uninstall 1password as well?
I have a stand alone license 1password.com membership/account and I just updated Mojave to 10.14.2 and the 1password safari extension is gone from safari, preferences, extensions ?

    Safari Version 12.0.2 (14606.3.4)

    1Password 7
    Version 7.2.2 (70202006)
    AgileBits Store

    Thanks

@ISKOTB Check in Safari>Preferences>Extensions>1Password and make sure the checkbox is checked. Starting in 1Password 7.2.2 the Safari extension is now part of the 1Password App. No need to fiddle with adding an external Extension. hth

I am glad it worked for the other guy who hopped on my thread... it is still not working for me though ;)

    Any help from anyone?

@www0013 - what do you see if you open Safari's Preferences > Extensions?

@www0013 - thanks. Sure looks like it ought to be working...but there may be another possibility. Have you restarted your Mac? If not, please try that now. If you're still having problems, then the last thing to check before a much deeper dive would be: do you have multiple copies of 1Password installed anywhere on your Mac or attached external drives? Backups, archives, anything of that sort?
