Go to Apple Store and scroll down to your previous purchases - you will see 1password version 6 - install it and then uninstall version 7. You'll be back to working like you use to including the browser extensions. I don't believe this is listed anywhere on this site - I couldn't find it anyway.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum, @efas! Indeed, anyone can install previous purchases or downloads from the Mac App Store in the way you describe; it's more-or-less common knowledge for Mac users, and it's a function of the Mac App Store itself, not specific to 1Password. That's probably the main reason why we don't list it here.

But the other reason is that as a security company, we can't recommend reverting to a previous version of 1Password (or browser, or OS) as any kind of a long-term solution to whatever issues might be affecting a user. We'd rather help them solve those issues in a sustainable way, instead of suggesting they retreat to a version that's no longer receiving development attention and is therefore growing older with every incremental release of browsers and macOS.

macOS 10.14 (“Mojave”) was released after we released 1Password 7 for Mac, so any changes made to it that require changes in 1Password won't be reflected in 1Password 6 for Mac, even though it feels as if it wasn't long ago that 1Password 6 for Mac was the current version. One good example of this is the changes made in Safari 12: Apple deprecated the older style of .safariextz extension that we'd all been accustomed to using for years, in favor of the newer Safari App Extensions, which are built right into the apps themselves and therefore don't require a separate download of an external extension. 1Password 7 for Mac has this newer style of extension...but 1Password 6 for Mac does not and never will. For the moment, Safari 12 will still allow users to download and use the older style of extension (that version 6 requires), but ONLY from the Safari Extensions Gallery, and ONLY temporarily. Apple have already said they plan to sunset the Safari Extensions Gallery soon -- probably around the first of the year, though firm dates have not been set.

But when they do that, version 6 will no longer work with Safari; you'll need to either switch browsers or upgrade to 1Password 7 for Mac. And that's just one example of why we don't offer advice like "here's how to downgrade or try keeping one component of your system frozen in time." Hope that helps! :)
