    Some scattered off-topic thoughts and musings sparked by this thread:

    • OK. So there are more than 6000 languages. Perhaps I should stop just naming them.

    • But unicode is cool, and is one of the best things to come out of the Summer Institute of Linguistics.

    • Ages ago I looked at our Arabic localization (I do not read Arabic), but I was curious to know whether what is presented as a side bar on the left for left-to-right writing systems is presented on the right for right-to-left systems. At that time it wasn't, but I believe that some UI kits do make the appropriate adjustments.

    • Linguists of AgileBits Unite! (That's me and @greg.) We have nothing to lose but our code-pages.
