what is the best way to save a document - should I use "secure notes" or "documents".

For example, I want to save a copy of my passport. I can scan it to either Documents or Secure Notes and maybe other categories. I assume both are equally secure so is there an advantage to one category over the other. I assume that, if the document I was storing needed some explanation, Secure Notes would be the option but I cannot think of a reason one category is better than another if all I want is a copy of my passport (or similar item).
Thanks

  • Hi @scubadiver

If you add a Document to any category other than Documents it will also be added to Documents. Unless there is a reason why you'd want a Secure Note for your passport in addition to the scan of it I'd recommend adding it to Documents directly.

    I hope that helps!

Perfect. Thanks. I assume security is the same for both.

  • Yep. :+1: You're welcome.
