apple support claiming 1Password is causing time machine to fail backup

working with several senior advisors. They are claiming 1Password is on an internal list of apps that can cause time machine to fail. they want me to deinstall 1password.

That's odd. We use time machine regularly around here.

Did they give any more specific information?

There is a issue with iPassword 7 for MacOS Mojave. Causes complete failure of Time Machine restore. 11kb of data can cause several hundred GB or more to be lost. Issue is related to the App Store version it seems.
