Should I uninstall 1Pass v1 before installing v4?

    It is your choice.

    You can un-install version 1 before installing version 4. This won't affect your 1Password data.

    Or you can keep version 1 and install version 4. They are designed to peacefully co-exist.

    I found that uninstalling v1 with v4 on the system crippled the browser helper for v4. Using the Restart Helper option on the help menu fixed it.

    Yes, and that's why I recommend removing 1Password 1 first:

    • If you never go bak to it, why keep it around?

    • If you do go back to it, you'll have to re-install it anyway.
