Read first: Previous version support information

I cannot find how to export from 1pass 3 chrome extension to new 1pass6 account or app.

I have created an online account, and downloaded the app for windows 10. But i cannot get the chrome 1pass3 extension to find the .1pif file with all my login data on my hard drive so i can save it to the desktop. I am needing to transfer them to my new online vault for my family to use.

Any help would be appreciated. the one article I searched for is no longer on the forum.

    @Biener777: The 1Password browser extensions have only limited capabilities, so the apps are needed to manage data. Rather than exporting and importing, you can simply open your existing OPVault or AgileKeychain vault in 1Password 6 (Settings > Accounts & Vaults > Folder). It will be read-only, but that will allow you to copy the data to your 1Password Account. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions! :)
