I do not see "Unassigned" on the left?

@Mr. K. Do you use 1Password 4 or 1Password 6? The "Unassigned" folder only exists in 1Password 4. in the lower half of the left hand sidebar.
I hope this helps!

1Passsword 6. I did manage to get it out of the folder, but how it works is not clear to me

Hey @Mr. K.,
Thanks for getting back to us on this.
1Password 6 doesn't have the concept of folders. Instead it uses tags to organise your items beyond the existing categories. If cou click to edit an item, you can add and remove tags. Please let us know if this helps, or if there's anything else we can do for you.
Cheers,
Alex

@Mr. K.: Ah, well that explains some of the confusion! You've been posting in an old discussion about 1Password 4 on Windows 7, in the Windows category of the forums, so we thought you were using a PC. I've split you off into a new discussion in the Mac category of the forums. ;)
In 1Password for Mac, to remove an item from a folder without moving it to another, just right click it and select "Remove from folder". Personally I prefer tags to folders since they're less restrictive, but I hope this helps. Be sure to let us know if you have any other questions! :)
