Update not updating?
Longtime 1Password user - Issue updating - Yosemite 10.10.5 - 1Password ver6.6.2 - getting a message that an update is available. When I click update it says downloading, but nothing happens. Opened 1Password and Checked for Updates, says update available, but when I click update I get the same result - no update. Thought about downloading the Trial and reinstalling, but don't want to risk the possibility of losing my data. ?

@jhamp: Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the trouble! Please download the latest version from our site and run the installer and you'll be good to go. And no need to worry about your data. It's stored separately from the app, so unless you use some sort of "cleaner" app to destroy all traces of 1Password on your system, getting a new version doesn't pose any risk. I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions! :)

I did this and finally I could update from 6.8 to 6.8.1 . But the 1 password updater still keeps me indicating I have a now version 6.8.1 to update. I click download and update , it downloads but never updates. Even I am running the version 6.8.1.

Hi @Marcelo_X - if you're already running 6.8.1, there are no more updates for the moment. Something has gotten stuck with your update-check, though it's tough to diagnose remotely. If that were me, I'd sign out of the Mac App Store, reboot, then sign back in, and see if that clears the issue. Let us know if that works for you.

Yes. I am running the 6.8.1 . mine was purchased from the website, not from the AppleStore. I downloaded and then had the license purchased. That's the why I use the updater.
