How can I get 1password to change a password on one of my items, not Master Password?

I would like to change some of my passwords, but cannot figure out how to accomplish this! I am new to 1password; did not have this problem with another password manager I tried. Thank you, and please be as specific as possible.

    Thanks for writing in.

    Are you trying to change the password for a website account? If yes, this guide will help you to change it on the site itself and update it with 1Password: https://support.1password.com/change-website-password/

    If you're changing a non-website item, simply edit the item and click into the password field to edit it. If you want to generate a new password, click on the generator icon at the far right of the password field.
