No secret key

Just updated to 7 from 6 on a mac. Trying to follow directions to find secret key. There was no download of emergency kit. There is no account in my preferences and no way to view secret key. All the directions to find my secret key require my secret key to open......I am caught in a loop. Please advise. I sent in email to support but keep getting the same directions which require me to have secret key to find secret key.

    preferences/account. If I click on add account it requires account details...which to open and get to a require secret code....to get to my secret code.....
