I am using 1P8 on macOS and I enabled the SSH agent as instructed, so I can sign and authenticate with SSH keys that are stored in 1P. This works when 1P ran recently. When the computer is idle for a while, and 1P is being locked and not used for a while. The terminal fails to use the agent for git sign and git pushing.

The error is: "error: Could not connect to socket. Is the agent running?"

I have to manually open 1P to get it back to work. This is a little annoying.

Some relevant settings:

  • "Keep 1P in the menu bar" unchecked.
  • "Start at login" checked.
  • "Unlock with Touch ID" checked.
  • "Auto lock on sleep" checked.
  • "Use the SSH agent" checked.
  • "Ask approval for each new application and terminal session until 1P locks".
  • "Connect with 1P CLI" unchecked.

Thank you.
