I was posting an "idea" for a product at GetSatisfaction.com (via Firefox).

When I used 1PW to login, it changed the title of my post to my email address and posted it! :(

Luckily, GetSatisfaction allows you to delete a post, which I did right away.

Here are the steps to replicate, assuming you have a GetSatisfaction Login:

  • TURN OFF AUTOSUBMIT FIRST!
  • Go to a product's page at GetSatisfaction, such as https://getsatisfaction.com/feedly
  • Be sure you are not logged in
  • Click "Share and Idea" and type your idea, such as "test"
  • Click submit
  • It shows you similar ideas, click "Nope, Finish Posting"
  • On the new topic page, scroll to the bottom and click post.
  • Cmd-\ to fill in your login
  • DO NOT PRESS THE LOGIN BUTTON

Beneath the login box, you will see that your idea has been replaced with your email address!

    @Chris100,

    Thanks for reporting this. This happens because of the way the Login form overlays on top of the open text fields, that could confuse 1Password into thinking it's part of the login process. We're working on improving the accuracy of the filler to avoid filling in open fields that may not be login forms.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.
