Apologies for the delay getting back to you here, I'm happy to help with this! For context, the additional text added to a URL when using the "Open and fill" option from 1Password for Mac is essentially the app letting the browser extension know that data needs to be filled, this allows for the two functions (opening and filling) to happen in a single action.
While I can't speak to the particular details for any given website, it is sometimes the case that they'll return errors when URLs aren't exactly what they expect them to be. I agree it's a bit odd to see this happening with what is technically the same address, but if you're finding that Open and fill along with the additional text it adds, is working when using your previous router, I suspect this is related to the new router's login page.
