2 years agoFor now I am removing 1PW8 and reverting to 1PW7. Unfortunately there are just too many features and too much functionality that has been removed for me to be able to continue with 1PW8.
If I do decide to try 1PW8 again (a big "if" right now) I will collect the requested information, but at this point I see a lot of intended changes. The short answer is that having a completely separate standalone app for the desktop and another for the browser (also completely standalone) makes no sense and just introduces significant consistency gaps. This is why I decided not to use the standalone app previously.
Another issue I noted is that with Universal Autofill enabled in the desktop at the same time as having the standalone browser app enabled, using the key shortcut to fill in login fields brings up both apps. If there is not an exact match I get two lists presented, with one on top of the other. If there is an exact match it appears the desktop autofill does populate the field and the browser app presents a prompt to save the information. ???? This is completely broken, and to me just appears to be a remnant of the fact that there are now two required standalone apps, rather than a single app with integrated extensions.
