Hi @judgensen:

1Password for Safari needs to be able to store settings, and disabling cookies or other profile data (which 1Password for Safari uses to store its data about its configuration) would result in 1Password not behaving as expected.

After re-enabling cookies, 1Password for Safari is seen as a "new" install of 1Password, so you'll receive a notification.
