1Password won't open in Vivaldi any more

Anybody else having an issue with the 1Pwd extension in Vivaldi?  Better yet, has anyone found a fix?

I recently had to rebuild my Windows 11 computer.  I reinstalled Vivaldi and 1Pwd, and downloaded and installed the extension from the Chrome store.  I've signed in to my 1Pwd account in the extension.  Now the 1Pwd button shows up in web forms, but clicking it doesn't do anything.

Any suggestions?

  • Same problem here, both on windows and macos.

    Windows 11 (25H2):
    Vivaldi 7.7.3851.48
    1password Extension: 8.12.0.13
    1password: 8.12.1

    macOS (26.2)
    Vivaldi 7.7.3851.66
    1password Extension: 8.12.0.13
    1password: 8.12.0

    Having the problems since around October when I switched from Chrom to Vivaldi.

    On Windows it works better than on macOS, but also doesn't offer completion in the input fields (on sites which work in chrome).

    On macOS, most of the time the 1password icon in the input field is missing.
    When it's there, nothing happens when clicking on it, even if its unlocked, the chevron points down but no dropdown is opening.

    When clicking on the 1password icon next to the address bar it takes minutes to open and unlock.
    The connection was always green and working, but I switched it off.
    This makes it a bit faster but it still takes 10-20s to open when locked.

    When unlocked it opens immediately, but I can't fill anywhere.
    Also the keyboard shortcut doesn't work (on macOS, on Windows it does).

    When 1password is unlocked and a login with Passkeys is requested, the overlay shows up and the login works as expected.

    There are times when the autofill and dropdown is working. Sometimes it works when I reload the page, sometimes when I close and reopen the tab.

      Could you email us a diagnostics report from the 1Password extension in Vivaldi on each device?

      Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com

    Sorry that you're experiencing an issue with 1Password in Vivaldi. Could you confirm what version you have installed of Vivaldi as well as the 1Password extension?

    Additionally, if you head to the General section of the extension's settings, what do you see next to "Integration status"? If you're seeing that there's a connection issue, does toggling the "integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app" option off help?
